The 2020 exhibition

I am so proud to present a video that was made during a time of containment due to COVID 19. Our reality: Francophones in Northwestern Ontario are already isolated and the Centre francophone team decided to adopt and modify the “Artiste en herbe 2020” artistic project to reach out to our population where they are.

First, we consulted with local committees to create themes representing our great region. These were incredible consultations that were able to guide our professional artists and our “budding artists” to create these works that you will see.

There are two parts to this exhibition, a summer camp part for artists between 8 and 100 years old who wanted to learn to paint or who wanted to rekindle their passion.
Thanks to the technique and thanks to our artists Yuk-Sem Won – who took the lead of the summer school and Nadia Faivre who is responsible for this virtual exhibition – we could see the development and the result of this unique and inspiring project.
