The Coopérative Centre francophone de Thunder Bay is one of the 20 recipients of the fifth and final round of the « Francophone NPO Relief Fund.»

Thunder Bay, December 1, 2021 – The Coopérative Centre francophone de Thunder Bay is proud to announce that it is the recipient of a 30 000 $ grant from the Assemblée de la francophonie de l’Ontario (AFO) Non-Profit Relief Fund program. This grant will allow the organization to pay professional fees and staff salaries related to the project.

The purpose of the “Relief Fund” program is to manage the redistribution of the $1 million fund to provide non-repayable contributions of up to $50,000 to directly support the one-time costs associated with the economic consequences imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

This grant will allow the Coopérative Centre francophone de Thunder Bay Inc. to have a resource person to help French-speaking people in Thunder Bay develop activities in French. This project will help build the community capacity of Francophones in Thunder Bay by providing support to individuals and small community organizations to implement activities and projects aimed at engaging the Francophone community.
