THUNDER BAY, December 16, 2021 — The Northern Lights Catholic District School Board has been working on revamping its website and those of its schools. The new sites create a positive experience for our users using a simple, colorful and interactive platform. They highlight the Francophonie and community partnerships. They also participate in improving recruitment (staff and students) by highlighting the Council’s approach, its unique characteristics, and the particularities of its territory.
Here is the Council’s website.
Here are the school website links:

“We are pleased to offer a smooth, interactive, and user-friendly experience through the redesign of our websites. Our territory and the specificities specific to our French-language Catholic schools are more highlighted,” said Lucie Allaire, Director of Education.
The sites integrate school news through the Facebook feed and include an “English” button to access the translation of the pages. An interactive calendar makes it possible to highlight our Francophone meetings, and thematic activities of the schools and to promote the news of our community partners.
The redesign project included internal and external consultations, web content analysis, and a benchmarking study. These analyzes led us to a call for tenders process with the help of the firm FRANCOachat. The Franco-Ontarian design firm, Chabo Communications & Design, won the contract.
The Conseil scolaire de district Catholique des Aurores boréales covers and serves nine communities in the Northwestern region of Ontario and includes nine elementary schools and one secondary school.
